Titan Judo Club is a family orientated community club founded by Paul McGuinness. Paul is a 6th Dan, a BJA Level 5 Coach/ UKCC Level 4 coach, UKCC Tutor & Assessor and has been involved in Judo since he was 8 years old. He has an MSc in Advanced Sports Coaching Practice and a BSc in Fitness, Health & Exercise.
Just like all the coaches at Titan he is passionate about Judo and Titan Judo Club. When you join Titan we want you to become part of our family and take part in all that Titan offers. We pride ourselves in providing educational, fun & exciting classes for all ages and levels.

Titan Judo Club operate a monthly payment scheme and have two categories, under 8 Judo passs or 8 years + activity pass. The more you do the cheaper it gets, we also offer a 20% discount for siblings too.

What is Judo?
Judo is a martial art developed by Prof. Jigaro Kano in 1882 based on the ancient techniques of Jiu Jitsu. Judo involves using your partners weight against them to throw them to the floor, where you can then apply a pin, choke or armlock. Within the sport of Judo children learn the throwing techniques and holding techniques on the ground and as they get to the teenage years they learn chokes, strangles and armlocks.
Judo develops balance, coordination, agility, strength, it helps build self asteem as well as control for mind and body. In Judo you have to learn to work with others to advance, help some to improve and you will also improve.
Judo has a moral code which every judoka should live by:
